Happy Halloween
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year, probably because of the availability of miniature chocolate bars (you feel less guilty eating something small). But also I like looking at all the creative decorations my neighbors come up with. This neighbor created a zombie uprising. He must have raided all the school science labs, because these are professional quality skeletons (not something you can buy at Walmart). I noticed that all the skeletons are being socially responsible by staying 6 ft apart. The owner of this house had a particularly gruesome streak in his life-size decorations of dismembered body parts. This is a close-up of the dad. The other family members are on the other sides of the sidewalk (or what's left of them). This is one of my favorite decorations. I'm sure there are days when the pandemic has pushed us all into feeling this way. I probably shouldn't be making judgments about the gruesomeness of my neighbors. When Courtney was only 7 weeks old, I dressed her up as a zombie-mummy for Halloween... Not the type of costume you'd find in a Disney store. She's still mad at me for this costume.
