Property Inspection
Last year at this time, we were selling our St Louis house and packing up our stuff to move.
It feels like the past 11 months have flown by, but as hard as it is to believe, it's time to do our 11-month new home warranty inspection. We hired a guy who went over the house with a fine-tooth comb (that's Bruce tagging along behind him with a clipboard). Some of the neighbors have really complained about all the glitches in their houses, but I think we got really lucky with our foreman, because the inspector didn't find anything wrong. It's so different living in a new house as opposed to the hundred-year old houses we're used to.
Unfortunately, we weren't as lucky with the sewer inspection. That guy found a 3/4" dip in the sewer line. I'm not sure how the builder is going to fix it, but I guess the lucky thing is that it's in the line that runs through the front yard rather than underneath the basement floor.
