We finally got some warm, sunny weather, so I've taken this lull in the rain to pull up the vines in the back garden. Each year I clean them up and trim them back; but the more I dig in the garden, the more they tend to wind in around the other plants. So this year, I decided to dig them up and totally get rid of them. I'm not finished - there are still vines growing along the entire right side of the yard along the fence, and they'll probably still try to creep in under the fence from the neighbors' yards; but for the time being, the garden is looking much cleaner. Next I need to work on adding more color - a little tough to do given the amount of shade in the back.

Garden
