My students have been building truss bridges from card stock. Yes, white paper about the thickness of a 3x5 card. We tested them the day before spring break to see how much weight they would carry - almost 10 pounds. Hard to believe that a 10 pound sack of potatoes wouldn't crush this little bridge to smithereens.
