Sculpture Park

I have been spending hours and hours on the computer making up handouts for my summer workshops, so I decided to take a day off and stroll around Laumeier Sculpture Park. This park is classified as a "living laboratory" where artists and audiences explore the relationships between contemporary art and nature (in other words, lots of twisted metal spread out over a 140-acre grassy field). As much as I like art, I'll have to admit to being pretty underwhelmed. Maybe I was there on an off day, because the pictures on their website look much more impressive that what I saw. I think this picture is supposed to represent a statue that collided with an airplane.
