We're re-doing the laundry area in the basement - replacing the old iron water pipes with copper and giving the whole space a face-lift. It's always amazing to me how such a tiny area can cause such havoc throughout the rest of the house, but trying to find somewhere to put all the junk from this space while the plumber re-does the pipes has been a challenge. We're going to lose our little ironing board closet - not that we ever used it, but I hate tearing out historical little oddities. Of course with the steam dryer I'm planning to get, they say you don't even have to iron clothes anymore, so hopefully that is true.
