On the way to KC this weekend, we took a detour to Knob Noster State Park and did a little hiking and geocaching. The weather was beautiful, but the late summer bugs were atrocious. We were covered in bug spray, but it didn't seem to help. We may have to postpone any more hikes until after the first frost.
Baby Violet is growing like a weed. She practically reaches the top of my head when I'm sitting on the floor. She is at a stage where she like to pull on necklaces, eyeglasses, and hair. Unfortunately, her puppies are learning the hard way that they can't get too close. They were afraid to fall asleep in their dog bed (it sits on the floor right next to Violet's play area). So they climbed up on the couch for a snooze.
