I went over to the Chinese Garden today to do a little sketching. The place was absolutely packed even though it was fairly hot outside, because the corpse flower is about to bloom.
I didn't even know such a thing existed, nor that it would draw so much attention. It's supposed to be a rare event, but doesn't particularly sound all that pleasant, because when the corpse flower blooms, it emits a really foul odor. I heard about it while I was taking a lunch break, but decided to skip going back out to see it. I came home and Google'd it instead. Gotta love technology.
