Update on Melissa's House

I got a tour of Melissa's new house this weekend. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the outside, but I can tell it's going to be gorgeous. This is their garage with all the tile they will be laying in the bathrooms. Technically it's a 3-car garage, but her husband, Jaime, wanted a workshop, so the third garage runs the entire depth of the house. You can see it going off there in the background. It will have its own sink so he can wash-up after working on the cars, and it has a second garage door in the back so he can get the lawn mower out.
This is the dining room. I think that wainscoting is going to look gorgeous when it is finished.
This is the living room fireplace and mantel. Those doors are for the built-in cabinets on either side. There were a couple workmen staining all the woodwork in the house making the place smell to high heaven. They definitely weren't using low VOC stain, plus they were spraying during one of the most humid days of the summer. Baby Violet was not happy with them. I think their Hazmat suits smeared with dark stain scared her (they looked a little creepy to me, too). She ran off to her new bedroom and refused to budge until we picked her up and carried her out.
