I planned to work on the dining room today. You can tell by the picture it really needs it. Over the past several months, I've turned it into a sewing room, a bike and camping storage, and a general catch-all when I'm sprucing up the other rooms in the house. We only use it twice a year for eating - both times during Christmas.
But then I got sidetracked by my art room. It is starting to implode from all the collage fodder I've been collecting the past year. It's not the biggest room to start with, but here lately there isn't a single empty surface anywhere in the room (including the floor).
Of course, Mr Fix-it got into the act. He spruced up an old shelf for me, so I could have a little more storage. I simply asked him to cut it shorter. He returned it a few hours later cut, sanded, nail holes filled, and freshly painted with a fresh coat of white (I'll admit, the pink was really ugly).
