End-of-the-Season Garden Update

Since there was a threat of snow flurries on Sunday, I went out and picked the last of the tomatoes. Actually, there were still tons left on the vines, but I completely filled the bowl.
I'm not really a very good cook, but I went on Google and found out that you can make fried green tomatoes out of cherry tomatoes the same way you make them from regular-size tomatoes. Even though they tasted OK, I thought they looked more like popcorn shrimp than fried green tomatoes.
And while I was in the gardening mood, I decided to plant some flower bulbs. Cheapskate that I am, rather than buying a few bulbs from Home Depot, I decided to go online and buy a bulk assortment for the same price...165 bulbs! What was I thinking??? It took me most of the morning and afternoon to get them into our mostly clay, hard-as-a-rock soil.
The garden doesn't look like much now (actually it doesn't look like I did anything), but come spring I know it will be bursting with color (fingers crossed).
