The weather forecast said it was supposed to quit raining today (wrong again), so I decided to take my sketchbook out for a walk. I went to the MetroLink station intending to ride the train to the Central West End, have a late breakfast at Einstein's, do a little sketching, and walk home. After waiting at the train station for 20 minutes, they finally announced there was an emergency and the trains were delayed. The "emergency" turned out to be a power failure, which meant the trains weren't just "delayed," but were dead-stopped. So instead of going to Einstein's, I walked over to Clayton to the City Coffee House & Creperie and had a scone. OMG was it good. I didn't get as many steps in as I'd planned, but since it never quit misting it was probably just as well.
