My sister, Janet, has been hinting for a Maryellen doll ever since we saw one at the American Girl store in Chicago. You see, Maryellen was born in 1954 - the same year my sister was born. When I compared the doll to an old photo, I had to admit that the two looked quite a bit alike. Guess I need to add a poodle skirt to my list of doll clothes to make.
When I checked out Maryellen's accessories, I found a poodle skirt and an Airstream camper. The poodle skirt will be a no-brainer to make, but I'm not sure about those curved walls in the camper. But if there's one thing I've learned about the internet is that you can find out how to do anything on YouTube. We'll see.
