Happy Halloween

My neighbors love to decorate for Halloween. This year's most popular items were bodies coming out of the ground, especially witches, skeletons, spiders, and dragons.
But Bruce and I skipped the festivities, braved the sub-freezing wind chills, and went downtown to see the new musical Dear Evan Hansen. It's about a high school teen with social anxiety disorder who fabricates a friendship with a suicide victim in order to get closer to the victim's family and date the victim's sister. Bruce loved it. To me, it was beyond bizarre. But it is also a Tony Award-winning show... go figure. When we came out of the show, the wind had died down and the sun was shining. It was still cold, but at least we didn't get the inch of snow they got in Kansas City.
