We finally got our cracked drain pipe fixed. With the virus lockdown, some companies don't want to come into your house, so we had to get on the list of a company that was willing to do the work. So these are out new $2600 pipes. You'd think they'd at least be made out of copper or silver for that price.
But I guess it's better than what we had. Yes, it was INCREDIBLY noisy when they took these out. They actually had to use a jackhammer on part of it.
But we also got a new toilet out of the bargain.
One of the nice things about the lockdown is that the city did the inspection virtually. The plumber emailed some photos and the inspector signed off on it. Of course, the poor plumber had to come back and add a little extra caulk around the floor joist to create a fire break. Never let it be said that U City inspectors let anything pass the first time.
