In the latest photos sent by the contractor, we've now got windows and a roof on the new house. But one thing I noticed that made me laugh were the 2x4's holding up the front porch overhang. Boy does that bring back memories of our Central West End house. For months (probably more like a couple years) that front porch was held up by 2x4's while we rebuilt those old Victorian support columns. I'm very happy that someone else is doing the back-breaking work this time.
