It's Official
Just a few more weeks and we'll be moving out. We officially listed our St Louis house for sale this week. Our realtor is one of those super-efficient types who had a sign in the yard within minutes of us emailing her. One of the biggest stresses of moving is that you have to keep the house clean. You never know when someone might be coming by for a look, though with COVID they tend to do a lot of stuff virtually these days.
Just when we thought we had the house all spiffed up to sell, the refrigerator decided to go on the fritz. It's over 15 years old, so it didn't seem worth fixing, especially since a new refrigerator comes with the appliance package in the Colorado house. So I went online and bought a mini-fridge from Home Depot to get us through the next few weeks. It was supposed to be delivered within a couple days, but rather than just drive it the couple miles from our neighborhood store, they shipped it from Perrysville, Ohio. So not only did it arrive 4 days later, it was all banged up. We have a feeling whoever loaded it onto the truck knew there was a problem, because the damaged box was packed inside a nice new box. Hmmmm... So now it's being shipped back to Indiana. I hope that's to a factory and not another unsuspecting customer.
In other news, I won the robotics volunteer award this year for coming up with the idea of refereeing the games via Zoom. Wowee! I've been refereeing for almost 20 years and this is the first time I've ever gotten an award. Call me a nerd, but this trophy will hold a nice spot in my new office in the Colorado house.
