This week Bruce and I went with the Adventure Club on a snowshoeing outing in Breckenridge. We only did a 2-mile hike, but that was enough to exhaust us (notice how everyone was shedding their coats, because we really worked up a sweat). The tricky thing about snowshoes is you have to walk with your legs spread apart like a duck or one snowshoe steps on the other one tripping you up.
I made everyone take a little detour down the Foxy Loxy trail so I could get a photo (the sign is a little hard to read). Afterwards we all headed off to the brewery for a late lunch. I love their Schwarzbier.
You'd think with all this exercise I'd be catching up to Janet, but she is 50 miles ahead of me on our Colorado Trail hike. I was hoping I'd be able to catch up now that the sidewalks are clear, but I think she'll have to slack off for a couple weeks for me to make any headway.
In other great news, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. Maybe wearing my Chiefs shirt to the movie 80 for Brady last week brought them good luck.
